God's grace finds us in our darkest hour.
Redemption stories are not always clean cut. For me, my road to redemption came with addiction, incarceration, abuse, and divorce. Yet, God has been writing a story that brings Him the glory. Everything I went through brought me to the moment that I chose Him over myself.
When I reflect on my life, I see how God was in the midst of some of my darkest moments. He sheltered me. He protected me. He left the 99 to come find me.
He is always with me and He is always with you too. If you abide in Him, He promises to abide in you. His Word is true. He will never leave you or forsake you. Trust His plan for your life. He won't let you down. And if nobody has told you today, Jesus loves you!
About the Author
I'm Alicia, an imperfect woman radically saved and transformed by One Perfect Savior. People have told me "Alicia, if I didn't know I almost wouldn't believe your story." Sometimes redemption stories are crazy. Mine is crazy, but my story also shows how far God is willing to go to bring His child back home.
He will stop at nothing to bring you back to Him. He pursued me until I hit my knees on my living room floor a couple of weeks after I filed for divorce. I had been sober less than 30 days, but I couldn't go on. The pain of my divorce and the betrayal had hit me like a ton of bricks. On my knees, I cried out to the Lord and He answered me.
He engulfed me with a love I had sought my whole and my life radically changed. I will never be the same and for that, to God be the glory!
Now, I use my passion for writing to give God glory. My story isn't about me. It's all about him.
When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, listening to worship music, reading God's Word, and sharing about the Lord's goodness to anyone who will listen.
2 Corinthians 12:9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
