Have you ever heard someone say "she's a proverbs 31 woman" or we hear men say "I'm looking for my proverbs 31 woman. But how does a woman become the woman we want to mirror that we read about in Proverbs 31?
What if I told you that being a proverbs 31 woman isn't an aesthetic to strive for, but rather a benefit of an intimate relationship with the Lord? A Proverbs 31 woman is not a "build a woman" situation. You can't pick and choose which character traits you exhibit. Rather becoming a Proverbs 31 woman comes from being rooted in Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 31:30 tells us a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. That means that even in the hard times a woman who praises the Lord is noticed for her endurance, strength, and grace in the trials.
Proverbs 31:30 NLT
Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Over the next several weeks, I will be breaking down each character trait of the Proverbs 31 woman and how a woman rooted in Christ naturally becomes this woman the closer she gets to Him.
It's not a religion. It's not an aesthetic. It's a relationship with Christ that develops the character of the Proverbs 31 woman we as godly women all want to be.
Join me every Saturday to read and discuss as we talk about what it truly means to be the Proverbs 31 woman.
